|Empirical analysis of factors affecting food recall time

|The rapid development of society and economy and the improvement of living standards, food safety issues have become the focus of people"s attention. Food recall incidents at home and abroad are frequent, and the recall time has become an important indicator r for enterprises to respond to public incident crisis handling capabilities. This article selects 271 food recalls that occurred in US listed companies from 1994 to 2017 as research samples. Recall subjects and other aspects of the statistical analysis of the current situation of food recalls in US listed companies, based on econometric theory to construct a multiple regression model to conduct an empirical analysis of the factors affecting the recall time. The results showed that the number of recalls, the scope of distribution, and the reasons for recalls (bacterial infections and foreign substances) were significantly related to the recall time. Combined with the status of the US food recall system, it provides a reference for the development of China"s food recall.
